DUW Version 1.21 - disk usage information system for Windows NT/95
Copyright (c) 1995-96 Markus Seger (m.seger@ids-scheer.de)
You know the problem: you want to install this new cool software but you don't
have enough free disk space! Well, no problem, just delete some files to
recover free disk space. But where to start? Which of the 100 directories
use all the disk space?
Disk usage can help you solve this problem. Disk usage examines your hard disk
and shows you how many space your directories use! You can quickly locate the
big ones and delete them, if desired.
Installation:
-------------
To install Disk usage for Windows run SETUP.EXE and follow the instructions.
SETUP copies the necesary files to your system and creates the program
items.
Uninstallation:
---------------
If you want to get rid of Disk usage for Windows double-click on the
"Uninstall Disk usage" icon. This will completely remove Disk usage from
your system. If you are using Windows 95, you can alternatively start Control
Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs and select "Disk usage" from the list
of uninstallable software.
Usage:
------
To start Disk usage, simply double-click on the Disk usage icon
or
double-click on DUW.EXE in the File Manager or Windows 95 Explorer
I didn't have the time to write a user manual for Disk usage but I think Disk
usage is really self-explaining. Maybe I will add a small users guide in the
next version of Disk usage.
System requirements:
--------------------
Disk usage requires Windows 95 or Windows NT. I haven't tested Disk usage on
Win32s!

Version History:
----------------
Version Date Reason for release
-------------------------------------------
1.21 25/08/96 some minor bugs fixed
- Disk usage now has a minimize button. With the new Windows 95 shell, you

minimize it!
- Now proposes 'du.txt' instead of 'du' when you click on the save button
- Sort order will no longer be lost when you select another directory
- Installing a new version destroyed all settings of Disk usage. This bug
has been fixed
- When SETUP detects a previous version of Disk usage the directory of the
previous version is proposed as the destination directory for the new
version
1.20 07/08/96 new features
- Directory listbox has been replaced by Windows 95 ListCtrl thus
allowing you to sort by size, name etc. easily
- AutoRefresh: Double-clicking a directory or clicking the 'parent
directory' button refreshes the directory list automatically
